Self-Compassion – Micro Poem
I don’t need
your permission
to dip my heart
in chartreuse
Or to punctuate
my veins with
Indomitable hope.
Now I let
Sunflowers sprout
from my collarbones.
I don’t need
your permission
To hold hands with
this sanguinity
That stems from
Deep-rooted self-love.
