A diamante poem is a seven-line, unrhymed, diamond-shaped poem. The word pattern to be followed is 1–2–3–4–3–2–1. You have to take two nouns for the first and last line. The 2nd, 4th, and 6th lines should contain adjectives (the 2nd line adjectives should describe the noun in the 1st line, the 6th line adjectives should describe the noun in the last line, and the 4th line adjectives should describe both the nouns). The 3rd and 5th lines should contain gerunds (the 3rd line gerunds should describe the noun in the 1st line and the 5th line gerunds should describe the noun in the last line).
