Hold On – A Garland Cinquain
Hold on,
little baby.
This is temporary.
Endure, persevere, sweet moon-child.
Fret not.
Hold on
to your grandma,
if you feel uneasy.
Mummy will return home at six.
Be good.
Hold on
to the ball of
two-piece ragged blue shrug.
There are toys, books, and rhymes you love.
Don’t cry.
Hold on.
This is nothing.
A little more effort,
you’d be relieved after passing.
Try hard.
Hold on.
Ah, there it is!
A little mound of poop.
Are you happy? We can dance now.
Love you.
