Birthing – Micro Poem

I scratched my skin.
It bled.
But what came out
was not poetry.
I flowed and crashed
into the mighty sea.
But I didn’t find poetry.
A few months later,
a voice said to me,
‘Push, push, push’.
What I pushed out
wasn’t just a baby,
but a bundle of poetry.
I have never stopped
birthing since then.
