A Gogyohka for Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge 308
This #TankaTuesday challenge explores Ekphrastic poetry, inspired by works of art.
Here’s my Gogyohka poem inspired by the portrait:
Staring right at you,
she revamps herself,
Painting her skin
with words of independence
She’s no longer your slave.

Love it, Kavya! I had a similar thought. She’s in control now. Great poem!

Thanks a lot, Yvette!
Wow, I love how you just went right after her look of control!
Thank you, Luanne. ❤️
I can see that in her expression also. The tables have turned.
I can see that in her eyes. The tables have been turned.
